It's not about having some natural difficulties, it's about how these people are treated in the society, and the belief that 'smart' people are superior to 'dumb' people. Apply same principle to people with low intelligence. No matter if you actually are, or ain't gay. I mean if I would call you gay, taking this as an insult would only make sense in a cultural context where homosexuality is considered bad/evil, and only if YOU personally share this homophobia. Bad means bad in a sense of being worth getting offended with it (like Sir Phoenix). The third sentence is just a switch to turn an insult you made about an entire group without need or provocation into an accusation. The first sentence is irrelevant, the second sentence needs clarification (what is bad? What is low? because having an IQ lower than 60 is a disadvantage in almost all possible scenarios).
